Local Natives have launched a microsite where artists and fans can snag stems of songs from the band’s debut. In exchange for a few personal details (name, email, postal – voilà!), prospective remixers can download stems for Manor standouts “Wide Eyes,” “World News,” “Camera Talk,” and “Who Knows Who Cares.” And that’s just the first batch – more will be uploaded later this summer. Artists and fans can submit their re-envisioned track and the best will show up on the player for the world to listen to. Labelmates and recent touring partners Suckers have donated their remix of “Wide Eyes” as the inaugural submission.  Download Stems and Remix Local Natives now!

Local Natives just did a cover of Television’s “Careful” from their 1978 highly recommended album Adventure. It’s part of a compilation that Aquarium Drunkard put together featuring some great LA bands.

Party hat is on!  Suckers released their debut album Wild Smile this week and tonight in NYC is their release show at Music Hall Of Williamsburg!  Check out this performance from Fader Open Bar to whet your appetite and also their awesome video for Black Sheep! Suckers and Local Natives continue their tour on the west coast.  On Thursday June 3, Suckers will be doing an instore performance at Amoeba Records in San Francisco and will also be June 8 at Amoeba Records in Hollywood.

We’re all over the country folks.  Les Savy Fav play 2 shows in LA this weekend, at the Getty Museum and Echoplex.  Freelance Whales are out on tour with Shout Out Louds.  Sean Bones just got back from a tour with Dr. Dog!  That’s official!

The Antlers recently recorded a few songs for Pitchfork TV that are really intimate and powerful.  Check them out! They also did a cover of The XX which you should download as well.
Local Natives answered a few questions from SPIN recently before their performance at Coachella. Watch them muse about whirlpools and roadrunners among other things.  Also, attention Cleveland.  The Local Natives / Suckers May 11th performance has been moved up to Beachland Ballroom due to overwhelming demand.
